Shameless midi conversion -- but the instruments sound decent enough.

Actually, if what you're saying is what I think it means, meaning taking a MIDI and directly pasting it into FL, that is not what I did. I actually had to follow along with a video to make sure I got it right, and the MIDI would not have had some of what I added into it. Sorry to say, sir, but your review is rather unfounded and baseless. Thanks for the attention, though.
Isn't this song from the Eblan castle, not Damcyan? Or do they use the same theme?
Either way, great work :)
Partly there.
Not bad. You aced the notes and the harmonies. I really do like the instrument choices, although the lead you picked doesnt really fit in all the time, and I think something else would have been more suitable. The rhythm sounds off at around the 1:30 and the 2:30 mark for a long while.
My main issue with this song, though, is the mastering. This would have been EPIC (because, like I said, your notes/instrument choices are awesome) if the volume would have been mastered appropriately. Its actually hard to hear the melody at certain points, the drums are occasionally way too loud, the strings are barely audible at times, etc. With a little bit more work, this would have been ridiculous.
All in all, I gave you a 7/10 and a 4/5 (I rounded up - how nice of me!).
thanks for the advice man. I've converted to reason and digital performer, I made this song on a $20 program. I'll try to update this soon.
Nice work!
VERY similar to the original! Awesome job! This brings back looooads of memories... Sooo many fights in archives with my friends...
That said, your bell in the second half was pretty lame, IMO.
9/10, 5/5. =)
Hmm...
Sounds great, or at least, when I can hear the melody it sounds great. If this was mastered better, it would have been essentially the best Phoenix Wright remix I've ever heard. And I'm not kidding - I've heard TONS.
Work away at mastering the volumes some more and I'll love you forever and ever. It'd be PERFECT.
8/10, 4/5.
Whoah!
Oh, damn. Did I just give you a 10/10? I believe I did. That NEVER happens. =o
Once again, your harmonies and bassline were flawless. I love the slight embellishment you threw on the melody, it fits in beautifully.
Ofc, I have to say something on the negative end, too... The ONLY thing I can say about this piece that I don't like is the synth in the background. It doesnt strike me as the type of song to have a sweeper synth playing. I think some traditional strings would have been more suitable, but that's mostly personal preference.
In any case, 10/10, 5/5. You're incredibly talented, and I hope you don't stop making music! Hopefully you ARE doing this by ear and not ripping from a MIDI or something similar, though.
=)
Awesome work!
As I said in my title, it sounds great. Your notes are perfect, and the drums fill nicely. You got the harmonies/bass parts flawlessly - good for you!
The only thing keeping me from throwing you a 10/10 on this one is I think you could have done your mastering a bit better. At times, the guitars/piano chords/bass line overpower the melody. Mastering is a pretty hard thing to "master", though, so it's not like I'll kill you over it or something.
Oh, also, how come you didnt make it loop? It makes for a peeerfect loop.
Other than my nitpicking, it was amazing. 5/5, 9/10. Keep it up.
